Just because you see the word ‘Bible’ written on the cover of one of your books does not mean that it is in fact God's Word. Today, I will give an example of the heresy that is deceiving the masses around the world into thinking that they are reading and studying what God wrote.
There is an arch deceiver out there whose 1st order of attack on God is to ‘corrupt’ God's Word (see: Genesis 3:1-5 KJ). This enemy, a.k.a., the adversary, or Satan, has many followers who join him in his rebellion to corrupt and ‘water down’ God's Holy Word:
(2 Corinthians 2:17 KJ) For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
(2 Corinthians 4:2 KJ) But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
The King James is the Holy Spirit breathed and preserved Word of God. God the Holy Spirit wrote and preserved the Word:
(2 Peter 1:20, 21 KJ) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
(21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
(Psalms 12:6 KJ) The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
(7) Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
Notice what the ‘modern version’ of the NIV says in:
NIV - Matt 5:22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment.
Now see what the same false version of the Bible, the NIV, i.e., the ‘New International Version’, that is used by Christians and churches everywhere, also says:
NIV - Mark 3:4,5
4 Then Jesus asked them, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they remained silent.
5 He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.”
…..”He looked around at them in anger”
And what did the NIV say in Matthew 5:22 about anyone being “angry” with a brother or sister? That they would be subject to “judgment,”….that is, something wrong had been committed etc. Notice, again, in NIV - Mark 3:4,5 above who it was that got “angry”….
That would be JESUS.
Now let us look at what the Holy Spirit actually wrote in the King James:
(Matthew 5:22 KJ) But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
……”That whosoever is angry with his brother WITHOUT A CAUSE shall be in danger of the judgment:”
Do you see the difference in the Holy Spirit breathed and preserved Word of God, the King James, and the satanic corruption of the so-called “modern version” of the NIV? The NIV does not have the WORDS that the Lord Jesus said:
“WITHOUT A CAUSE”
That is, in the “modern version” of the NIV, to be angry ‘at all’ is to have done something wrong and to have subjected oneself to God's judgment. But what God actually said, and that which the corrupters of the NIV left out was, that a person was in danger of the judgment if they were angry against their brother:
“WITHOUT A CAUSE”
The deception and corruption of the Word of God is not only a matter of false interpretation; whereas the Holy Scriptures, the true Word of God, interpret themselves by the One who wrote them, the Holy Spirit (see: 2 Pet 1:20,21 KJ) etc., the so-called “modern versions” were written by the adversary of God, and the interpretation of heresy = heresy.
But the deception and corruption of the “modern versions” is in that they literally oppose themselves. That is, they say things that put the ‘lie’ to something else they have said.
You see, it is not only a matter of ‘words,’ which ones are used or not used, it is a matter of “modern versions” literally saying things that are false in themselves, i.e., they are not true.
But God's Word IS the truth:
(Psalms 119:160 KJ) Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
(2 Timothy 3:16,17 KJ) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
(17) That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
